Alfred Ekpenyong

Chief Executive Officer 

Alfred has worked in the third sector for over 10 years, he brings vast range of experiences working as a Manager of Operations, Youth Coordinator, Adult and Youth Mentor, Careers Coach, Employment Advisor and has built up strong networks in grassroots and youth Football. He has been involved with YES since 2015; he is very passionate about enabling young people to reach their full potential and is a keen advocate in the development of multiple intelligences in people.

Donya Mortazavi

Senior Operations Officer

Donya has an academic background in Psychology, having successfully completed a BSc in Psychology, followed by an MSc in Health Psychology. She has also been awarded a graduate accreditation for Chartered Membership from the British Psychological Society.

Donya has developed a variety of practical skills and gained significant experience working for both the NHS and Social Care Providers. She has been responsible for key working a caseload of vulnerable service users from diverse backgrounds with mental and physical health conditions, learning disabilities, looked after children and care leavers, homeless families, and those with experience of rough sleeping and substance misuse.

By using a person-centred approach and building a trusting relationship with service users, Donya has been able to collaboratively work alongside service users in providing the resources and support they need to live happier and healthier lives.

Ewa Nowak

Office Administrator

Ewa has a background in keeping records, database development and book-keeping and has worked for the private and voluntary sector. She is also the Secretary of Cricklewood Wanderers and a passionate follower of Cricklewood Wanderers FC and has never missed a match. She enjoys spending time with her friends, reading and singing in her spare time.

Rachid Choaibi

Youth Wellbeing Officer

Rachid has 24 years’ design, delivery, management and evaluation experience in community wellbeing, informal education, and the charity sector. He is an experienced youth wellbeing practitioner (EMCC Senior Practitioner Coach), who uses evidence-based interventions to promote psychological, emotional and physical wellbeing in young people and communities.

As the Youth Wellbeing Officer, Rachid delivers the YES mental health and wellbeing services, encouraging young people to improve management of their mental health and access to mental health services as required. He assesses the wellbeing needs of young people, and works with YES staff to devise plans that improve their wellbeing. Rachid also designs and supports the delivery of prevention and development activities through group workshops, events, and one-to-one interventions that empower vulnerable young people.

Rachid also works closely with other agencies, such as CNWL NHS Mental Health Trust, Brent Health Matters, and Brent IAPT, as well as parents to help improve understanding of and access to local mental health services. This helps connect families with other local health networks and services to enable cross-referral and access, so that a wide range of health needs can be supported.
